My dad was the same! After 20 years of smoking, he suffered a heart attack and I watched him through it from a young age. At the end, it came to my dad going through a double heart bypass surgery and it was very painful to watch him with all the tubes going into his body. The worst thing is, that he still continues to smoke fully aware of how his life is at much greater risk. I guess my dad does not appreciate the second chance that he's been given, silly man.
